The Plant City Recreation & Parks Dept. and Boys & Girls Club are asking for your generosity and assistance in spreading joy and happiness to the less fortunate children and families in our community. Our goal is to get everyone in the community involved with this event. Graciously, we are asking for contributions of food items, unwrapped toys for ages 4 thru 12, bicycles for ages 5 thru 12, monetary support, and anything that might provide comfort and pleasure to the children. We will also be setting up arts--crafts tables for the children to engage in coloring, making holiday ornaments, ceramics etc…

We attended the Funeral Service for Brikyra today, Man what a Angel ! She was a courageous young lady! None of us really knew her very much, until we meet her family for the first time @ a Benefit we held for her in August of this year. Man this motorcycle club thing has taken a lot of us to areas we might have not achieved as far as being active in our communities.

We received a call from Pacesetters Member KO telling us about Brikyra's Family was in need of help. On June 21, 2008 her family was trying to raise funds by selling food and some of the people who agreed to help didn't. So Pacesetters Member KO heard about this from his sister,so he donated $100/fish from Pacesetter Ran-Dezzy needed for the Fund Raiser. So KO called PrimeTime @ work telling us about Brikyra's story so we agreed more needs to be done. Made contact with Brikyra's Grandmother she emailed us a picture we added the exact words written by Brikyra herself and posted it on the board @ work we average 25 pers. onboard our vessel, we had 10 people step forward donated $ 370.00 in just a few days. I know this is hard times for alot of people but sometimes just donating just $5 & $10 can add up.PrimeTime & Ghost with the Pacesetters MC would like to thank our crew members Kale, Beverly, Anthony,Eric & Jose and client crew members Freddie, Steven & Mike for their donations.

It was a convoy of leather, loud engines, and plenty of love for a little girls that bikers have never met named Lia. "The insurance companies won't cover her, the government won't help her, so I'm just trying to do the best I can," Michael said. Michael and the Pacesetter's Motorcycle Club are rolling out to raise money for Lia Custodio, a three year old girl with a rare disease that destructs her immune system. "If she got the flu right now, it would be devastating for her. If she gets a cold, it will 20 times faster go to bronchitis," Lia's mother Kristi Custodio said. Things seemed hopeless for Lia before her brother Manny was born seven months ago. It was a one-in-a-million chance, but he was the perfect stem cell match. "It's a miracle that this has happened for us," Custodio said. And a miracle that Lia has also held onto. Her mother Kristy Custodio says Lia's immune system is operating at only 16 percent right now. The only time she can leave the house is for chemotherapy treatments. "We're looking forward to playing with children, we're looking forward to going to a park, going to a water park, to having friends, going to school. We were told she wouldn't be able to go to school, she'd be homeschooled. That's no life for somebody," Lia's grandmother Donna Springer said. But these bikers hope that a ride for Lia can crank up fundraising for her stem cell transplant and put her on the path to a better life. "I hope one day, if this transplant helps, one day she'll get out and play in the grass and be a kid like she should be, not be stuck in the house," Webb said. That's a day the Custodio's dream about reaching. "I think she would be so excited and would want to ride on one of those bikes," Custodio said. And maybe one day she will, thanks to the giving hearts of these rebels with a cause. It's unclear how long it will be before Lia's surgery takes place, because her immune system must completely fail before she'll be ready for the transplant.
